Joe Denyer will actually take photos anywhere of anything. However his most enjoyed subjects are documentary, music and events photography with a passion for storytelling. In his words, “I love to be a fly on the wall with my camera! If you prepare for any location, you will believe you can capture the story before it unfolds. In lifestyle you create the setting which I still enjoy, but in documentary it is all about being prepared to not stand still. Freezing the moment within your viewfinder.” He has an extensive archive, having cemented his foundations as a Junior Darkroom Technician for Allsport UK, learning and working alongside many of the world’s best sports photographers. In more recent times Joe has worked with a small select of famous creatives from both music and lifestyle fields. He was resident photographer for Manchester’s music event The Warehouse Project 2009-2012. In late 2018 his work was finally exhibited and he achieved 24hrs exclusive access with The Chic Organization and a memorable 121 moment with double GRAMMY winner Nile Rodgers within their UK tour. Locally he was more personally honoured to capture the moments of his father’s 50 year retirement party and his Grandma’s surprise 100th Birthday celebration amongst her friends and family. Over the years Joe has captured many subjects, more than he could fit within a website. If you need anything captured, it is likely he can do it. Joe knows light control inside out. Along with his camera skills another terrific attribute is his personality.
Life is about a healthy mix of local growth and stretching out further afield.. from tractor driven misty fields to skyscrapers and flashing lights.

“Joseph is a dear friend and a wonderful photographer. He has captured many memories for me and for my family, always with a gentle and loving approach. Joseph is more than a photographer, he has an eye and a passion for photography, natural light and cinema. I would say he is a cinematographer. Joseph was the first to teach me with love, passion and patience how to use my first DSLR camera. Thank you for being such a great mentor Joseph!” - Elizabeth Mavropoulos
